PeaceSong receives 2nd Ontario Arts Council Grant!

We are happy to report that the Ontario Arts Council has granted PeaceSong: Building Bridges a $10,000 grant (the full amount requested!!) for the second phase of our PeaceSong Project, “Building Bridges”.

PeaceSong: Building Bridges is a collaboration between PeaceQuest, singer-songwriter/community minister, The Rev. Wendy Luella Perkins and Kingston Community Health Centres.

This second phase of PeaceSong will bring together people who experience marginalization, promote health and wellness and/or seek  justice to work together writing, singing and sharing songs that build deeper understanding, community and peace.  The project will likely  happen in the spring 2018.

In the mean time, all are welcome to attend PeaceSong biweeekly gatherings at KCHC. Here are the gathering details:

KCHC @ NOON — PEACE SONG SINGING CIRCLE

(on vacation for the summer, restarting in September)
at Kingston Community Health Centres
263 Weller Ave, Kingston, Homestead Room
   ***Scent-free gatherings (no perfumes or scented products please)***
All welcome + free
TWICE MONTHLY — ALL WELCOME
Two Thursdays/month–2nd and 4th Thursday
Over the lunch hour
Feel free to bring a bag lunch, or buy lunch for around $5 at the KCHC cafe.
Tea and Coffee provided.
Drop-in once, every time, even just for one song!
