La Salle Secondary School
The students and teachers at La Salle Secondary School in Kingston are recognizing the International Day of Peace. They are signing Peace Flags bearing the PeaceQuest logo and the following statements:
I, as part of the La Salle family, will STAND for PEACE in our school, community and world.
Peace is an active way of living, seeking to resolve conflicts cooperatively, respecting the well being of the earth and all peoples.
Peace has to be maintained. It is the Product of faith, Strength, Energy, Will, Sympathy, Justice, Imagination, and the triumph of Principal. It will never be achieved by passivity and quietism.
